Experience when designers, architects and other creative excistences from Aalborg present their ideas and visions in 20 X 20 seconds.

It's quite simple - PechaKucha Night is about each participant presenting their work, projects, talents, ideas with the help of 20 elements each lasting 20 seconds. An element can be a picture, an animation, a graphic element, a video, a speech, a poem, a word, a piece of music, a sound, a thing, a dance, a vision or something completely different. The presenter only has 20 seconds to present each element. That gives a total of 6:40 for each presenter.

The idea behind the 20 X 20 concept is to create an evening of intensity giving the audience as well as the participants a bombardement of artistic and cultural impressions. It's the evening where people can present their utter most desire whether it is their work, projects, talents, ideas or thoughts.

The purpose is to create a dialog and debate in between the different areas of art and cultural environment. The two first Pecha Kucha Nights are presented in Huset Aalborg. PechaKucha Night is arranged with great succes in Copenhagen, Århus and Kolding in Denmark and in 300 cities around the world. PechaKucha is a japanese concept invented by the architects Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham in 2003.

Are you in the middle of making a a cultural-, art- design- or architecture project? Are you a poet, musician, multimedianerd, performer, dancer, painter...Do you have a fab idea or are you just creative? In the need of a platform where you'll be avble to share your ideas?

Be part of starting a network in Aalborg for creative inspiring, likeminded/disagreeable, provoking? new thoughts and be a part of a global network for creative minds, who make Pecha Kucha Nights in 300 cities around the world! Do you need to be touch with the people who could set your design into production? Or just an audience to give you feedback on your desirable project?

It all begins with you deciding to makes 20 elements / slides with 20 seconds for each element or slide - you and pictures and words, your dance, your music, your, your... We'll spread the word - make up your mind to jump in - that way we'll get your name on the poster! I'll need your slides a week before PechaKucha Night.
